Connect a PC Running SY/MAX Software
to Modbus Plus

In all three examples the PC can read, write, and program SY/MAX devices over Modbus Plus. In addition, the PC can read and write Modbus and Modbus Plus devices via Modbus Plus.

  • Connection from the PC's COM: port to Modbus Plus is made through an SC902 and anMEB.

  • Connection from a PC equipped with an SFI-610 card to Modbus Plus is made through an MEB.

  • A PC equipped with a SY/LINKŪ card can be connected to Modbus Plus in two ways; either an RS-422 serial connection or a blue hose connection through a NIM.
