Connecting PCs Running Modbus Software to SY/MAX Media

  • Connection from the PC's COM: port to SY/MAX Ethernet is made through an MEB. An SC902 is the ideal way to connect the PC serial port to any SY/MAX device.

  • A PC equipped with an SA85 Modbus Plus card is connected to SY/MAX Ethernet through an MEB.

  • Connection from the PC's COM: port to SY/NETŪ (blue hose) is accomplished using an SPE4, EPE5, or MEB to translate protocol to a NIM serving as the SY/NET interface.

  • A PC equipped with a SA85 Modbus Plus card is connected to an MEB via Modbus Plus. Again, connection to the blue hose network is through a NIM.
